A few tweaks. Joes solo pokes out a bit better on the end with the horn section. I tucked in the repeats a bit on sax solo delay. Tom may dislike so I await his feedback. Turned the bass up a bit. Added some weight to the bass drum. You say weight? I have been on a quest for better sounds and tones. I added a sub kik mic to my drum mic setup. I can grab onto that fader and push it up instead of adding eq. Can you get there with Eq... Yes. Well see this pic of the kit from a tracking session I took the other night. That speaker in front of my bass drum is now a mic, only picking up sub bass(around 60-70hz) off my front bass drum head. Not really sub bass but close. https://www.amazon.com/photos/share/UmM3rrjeeajEKbYv73a7gAWNjKSvesmO1T90op4oTBx

hey cor... bad azz work brotha~~~ For me .. if i had to pick between 328 & 329... i prefer 28...an overall better balance... As to the why... #1 i like where the drums sat n mix 28 better... they seem to be down n this mix more or pos other things are up more? In 28 i luved the bass gtr/drum balance..fantastic interchange...The drums r killin it.. and should compete w the solos a bit more..as they do in 28... 29 also seems to have a lil higher ratio on compression on the solo horn?.. or maybe thats on the overall comp and the horns are really utilizing it?... dont know(could be db).. sounds more piercing not as ear friendly cranked up.. Lastly,,, delay used on 28 seems almost perfect...here it seems to be a bit too strong... maybe somewhere in the middle... Keep in mind i hav zero tech abilites...so these are just ear observations.... Im so glad youve takin this to a whole new level... and realize your fine tuning/dialing n.. its brillant mixing! Many thanks
