I tried to play around a little. The vocals are not optimal, but I think that´s the direction to go. What do you think? Cheers K.
Hey Kurt, nice one, I like it! A significantly different take on the chorus and on the solo, well done! I need to hear it once again with the proper speakers/headphones but it seems that you've swapped out your former rhythm guitar patch for most of the song, or actually used a different one for a new take. I actually like the original one a little more for its roundness and width, but that's just my personal taste. On the vocals, if you like I can tweak some of the microtonalities on my DAW, just in case (assuming that's what you were referring to).
thx. Indeed I changed most of the guitar material. It is a matter of taste, which style you prefer. I think tomorrow I will upload all the tracks. You then can mix what suits you best. Kim uploaded the vocals already. The problems was, that the vocals sometimes were too far away to be corrected with a pitch tuning correction software without sounding "typically corrected". If we want to do a real nice song, we should suggest the following: Kim should record and upload the vocals once again in the most possible quality. Singing as well as recording. Then you should find a mix, what suits you right. You upload this mix. Then I will try to play and re-record the guitar and the rest of the arrangement, so that it fits best to the mix that you have uploaded. Then you mix again - what do you think about that? Nice greetings K.
Hiya Kurt!! I'm game for whatever is in the works here and whatever you think needs to go down! I'll definitely try and work on my pitch and sing better. I know I can be off (many times, very off) and that can be frustrating for mixing... and listening too!! Also, I can be a bit clueless particularly when it comes to anything technical related to recording, DAWs, mixing, computers, etc.... I'm supremely ignorant... so if I'm missing something, please don't hesitate to let me know and I'll do my best to work on it--Otay!? :)
PS__Just as a quick point of reference, I won't do anything more until Markus signs off on this since he's doing the heavy lifting of mixing. I don't want to sound lazy (but I can be) however, if Markus isn't too keen on this idea--then it probably isn't worth it for me to re-sing unless we can find another person willing to mix. :) :) So just let me know, when convenient for you, what's what! :) :) Thanks, Kurt!! :)
