Creative Brief

I have always been impressed with James' lyrics! This song has a very strong meaning!

Tiny Shoes

Tears leave trails

down a dirty face.

Distant cry’s

chill the warm night.

Rising smoke

dances in the wind

as fires burn

with comfortless light

In the lull of the battle

out of rubble, peeks fearful eyes

Looking hungry and sunken

Red, tired, and traumatized

This horrid life’s not their fault

but there’s no other life to choose

Their playground is a warzone

that’s littered with tiny shoes

They barely make it through the night

or make the evening news

I bet we would take more notice

If we had to walk in their tiny shoes

Stomachs growl

under shaking hands

Lips are dry

Like their empty well

Mothers pray

to get heavens help

Fathers curse

heaven for the hell

They barely make it through the night

or make the evening news

I bet we would take more notice

If we had to walk in their tiny shoes

Let’s scream out in our outrage

What do we have to lose?

Not half as much as the little ones

who walk in tiny shoes
