Oh I love this tune. It was a pleasure to mix it. I wish there were more songs like this here. Great performances.
Thanks Tom - and you have definitely made it a lot better too.. thanks!!
Beautiful - major improvement! However, the fiddle track is coming in a smidge late. If you have time, compare with the crappy mix I put up, and I think you'll hear it. Could just be pulled up in time across the whole mix to fix.
what kind of smidge, microsecond, beats, bars? I will see.
Hey, Tom. I downloaded my sep to compare with what I originally uploaded, and it's an exact match, so that's not an issue. I don't believe that this tune ever had sync tones. Without the bed track you're working from, I can't tell you numerically how delayed the sep is in your mix. Rob might be of some help. In the mix he just put up, the fiddle lines up right on the button. Thanks for taking the time to rework this tune. It's a good one, and you've really given it a new luster (or lustre, if British)
Thank you for your comment and commendation. I just compared my mix and fiddle with Robs mix, as you said. If there is a time difference at all, this will be only some milliseconds. In a left - right comparison it is just sounds like a bit delay how you use it to imitate a stereo effect with means ca 20 milliseconds. Such differences you will only discover I you hear both together at the same time. Dont be fooled, there is a 8th delay on the fiddle. I corrected this few milliseconds. If we want to be save, please upload a sep with a time code or count in right at the beginning. This is a welcome apporach in generall, with helps a lot, almost the mixers. In the past I spend hours lining up seps without count in. In mix challenges count in is a must, or all seps just beginn at a certain point like 1.1.0.0 or so.
There is also a new bass sep online. I will rework this tune.
