This song is coming along nicely with all those involved. Is this open for any creative ideas ?

Nice to meet you. I'm getting used to the site although I've been a registered user for a while but never used until being asked by Yvan to collaborate on a song. I find it hard to tell who is doing what on the project. I take it your the vocalist? My idea basically would be to simplify the song somewhat.

Hi Robbie - yes, I am the vocalist - simplify how? and my manners - so sorry! Nice to meet you as well! :)

Music to me is getting the balance between having too many things happening in a production or not having enough. I feel that certain things are being lost or over powered in the song. For example your vocal is very nice. Emotional and has power but to me it's getting lost slightly. Hope you understand what I mean

How would you arrange this differently? The two things in this song that are the driving force to me are the vocals and piano. The other instruments do enhance, so what would you do differently?

You have just answered yourself and in agreement. The song IS your vocal and the piano. This is only my opinion. For me the song needs more space. The vocals need to be the focus and take centre stage. We all do things differently.

Hello Gal Very nice to meet you and this community. I'm trying to understand how the site works. I find it a little vague on who has been involved in this collaboration. I'm happy to take a look at it if that's ok with others.

Very nice ... Robbie you sound like Julian Lennon to me ...

RobbieM1966   commented 11 days ago

Reba I will settle for sounding like Julian (Big Smile). The song is only in demo form and I will work on getting it the way I hear it. Glad you like. I'm actually a massive Beatles fan Particularly Lennon & McCartney so I see your thinking on this. Really appreciate your comment.

hi Robert .. it would be great to have you. since you know this song very well ... we had been working on it together in 2014 or 2015 at Allihoppa, and when we closed we never finished it ... it would be great if you produced this with us. I think that with your vision it would be a great success ..

Hello Robbie. I am Mike Moroney (Cibrshrink). A friend suggested that I submit a bass guitar track. I charted the song, and recorded and submitteda bass track, version one. My first note is slightly late, I really need a four count click before song starts on the demo mix version we are using. I can re record and or fix my first bass note. Besides that, I am open for any suggestions on the bass track. Welcome, have a good day. Mike

Hello Mike good to meet you. Music is our bond for sure. I've not looked at your separate bass track yet but now I will do. I'm learning about the site and how it works really. Don't worry if you are slightly late on hitting a certain note as I can edit this in production. Thank you kindly for your message.

have you guys even listened to my master idea from last night I synched it proper, the drum track has some bass and keys before the first hit 4ms worth it made for the rest of the track to be out of synch on this mix

RealAl   commented 11 days ago

Hello Robbie: I'm RealAl, and I try drumming... Good to meet you. Add whatever Magic you can. The lead in notes were to synchronize the drum SEPS. It was recorded from the drum-less start that I recorded the kit against. I noticed some difference between it, and the full mix. But Yvan, you seem to have the software and ear to correct. I agree that whatever makes this SONG better is Great. Go for it...
