Apple Blossoms

Verse:

I was a kid about 2 feet high

Daddy called me bluegrass small fry

Every May he'd climb our tree

Picked a special gift for me

Chorus:

Apple blossoms growing so high

Couldn't reach that limb in the sky

With a grin Dad would toss one to me

From that ole big bloomin' tree

Short Break

Verse:

Come one day in early fall

Daddy said goodbye to us all

He was going where angels sing

Said he'd be 'round every spring

Chorus:

Apple blossoms growing so high

I can't reach that limb in the sky,

But I can feel Daddy blowing in the wind

I know he'll toss one down to me

Turnaround

Chorus:

Apple blossoms growing so high

I can't reach that limb in the sky,

But I can feel Daddy blowing in the wind

I know he'll toss one down to me

Verse:

Still the best smell I ever knew

Better then any fancy perfume

That flower comes 'round every spring

With my Daddy's memory
