Damn you Rick! You know I can't resist a challenge. I put some time into shaping somewhat more authentic sounds. I never had Bohemian Rhapsody in mind - I've been targeting Somebody to Love the whole time (mostly). This is about as smashed up a mix as you'll ever hear from me. 8-0 I have more hours into this song than is sane or rational, so really, I gotta quit some time... :/ Changes include: Filled bass hole (wasn't me ha ha!). Thinned piano EQ a lot. More bass. Punchier bass EQ. More guitars. Less choir. Much more choir plate. Rode lead vocal better. Better drum EQ but way too much mic bleed to do more. Master curve similar to Somebody to Love. Mashed harder into master analog and multiband limiters.

Definitely has more of a bohrap vibe. for some reason on the first chorus only, the backup vocals don't come through very loud. A panning or volume automation error? All the rest is great. It's fun to compare Versions 3 and 4, but which one to choose would come down to personal opinion. Either are really nice. Good work!

1st chorus is divided first high voices, then low voices, thus 3db down with half the voices playing. Hard panning loses another 3db. Plus the choir is quieter and wetter (more distant) than before in general. On purpose - not an error. Not going to change it anyway... :P

Incredible work everyone! Frank you have done a remarkable job producing this sound! I am so very impressed with what you folks have been able to do with this. Thank you! I actually have a second movement sketched out ("Too Much Love" - ":Too much love could be deadly" - ending with a chorus fading with "Too Much Love, Too Much Love, Too Much, Too Much... etc... into a weak heartbeat ) but I would guess that Frank is in need of a sizeable break from this sort of stuff :) I hope I can rattle all your cages at the end of the summer or in the fall to see if you might be interested in reviving all of these terrific settings to continuing the tribute. At any rate thank you for all of your efforts on this composition! I am so impressed with all of your skills. Chuck

It's a take! Great work, everyone! The lead voice and extravaganzas rocked! The guitar lead duet, nice!

Genius reproduction of their unique style. Very nice vocals and range. The vocal extravaganzas are very convincing. Reminds me of In the Laps of the Gods, I think. Smokin guitar tones!
