Mix with Nathan's new main vocal.
I accidentally left in your original vox Nathan at first, realised it sounded quite good and left it in in some places to double the main new one. I may not have all the levels right yet, especially the vox, but it's getting there. Next job is to mix Dean's drums seps, rather than this which still has his stereo track.
I also pulled back the piano and strings, which seems to have made the overall feel cleaner.
Thanks Rab :)
Nice one Richard 'n guys. Sounds much better (cleaner). Regarding the phasing you mentioned on a previous take..... couple things you could try - in Cubase, reverse the phase on 1 track, also change EQ so the phase is moved. However, I agree, best way is to do another take.
I like the harmonies on this one, however they have been done.
Really nice to listen to better and better
Not heard this before, it's fantastic, great song, great music, great singing and a proper mix, this time Richard. I think it's great.
Thanks Staff. Thanks Paul.
And Peter, thanks for the tip. I always wondered what the phase reverse function was for!
I just tried it to double a guitar part and coupled with a few ms of track delay, it sounds immense.
Thanks to all for the compliments! I can hear a few places that need attention in the vocals, but I think I fixed them in my most recent upload. This is a great song and Richard is awesome to work with.
