Sorry. Didn't have time earlier.
Here is a rough mix with guitar in place.
Hope it works for you.
I liked most of it. English isn't my first language, but I will try to explain what I mean. The e-guitar is accompanying the other instruments from the start. When the e-guitar gets silent in the bridge, before the saxophone solo, you (/I) wonder what happened. Also, the distorted sound from that guitar is very different from the rest. So either the guitar will have to be a little more polite (if I may use that word) or else the other instruments will have to get a little bit more dirty/rough. I'm not the right person to remediate this. I'm not a producer, I only compose songs and lyrics, and sometimes people likes them. The way this song will finally sound like is beyond my imagination and skill.
Thanks for your comments.
When I approach something like this I tend to play most way through the song and let the producer or manager cut out and/or move around whichever sections he is happiest with.
I don't really expect it all to be used.
This is played through an amp-sim so the tone can be changed although this one seems to fit, from my viewpoint.
Let's see what Tony says?
Yes, let's wait for Tony's opinion.
Hey...sorry, long day and I just got this. Here's the deal about this song. The more you listen to it the more it grows on you. What you have hear is a nice introduction to getting to know the tune. Now take away any preconceptions FourAM and I have about arrangement, and feel the song. You can feel your way through the song: example in between measures when a cool lick would be appropriate. I wouldn't call it a lead, but more melodic riffs that accent the music. The lyrics are emotional. Somebody has some terminal shit to deal with. What better way to let them out than with guitar whales and some feedback? Yes, I will cut and use what works in my eyes, but give back what you feel, not what you think we want. It's a tough song with a lot of changes. Don't feel pressured. Jam a part until you like it. If this is the tone you want to jam to, then I can work with it. I'd rather reamp it myself honestly with a guitar DI, but this is good for presentation.
"Polite" will not be tolerated on my set. :) You gotta love how the internet brings people together. If only some of my old band members were this cool. See what you can do bro. If you feel it, play it.
So ... what do you want from me now?
You gonna use this?
Want the clean signal to re-amp?
Want me to re-amp it?
Let me know as I'm going away for the weekend.
Can I get your amp and a clean version? with the sync tone. I'd like to experiment with a few things. Thanks
OK. Get them up to you soon.
2 guitar files coming up now.
One is clean d/i signal that you can put through any amp-sim.
The other is a different sim (GreenMachine) which is a bit more 'polite' but still has some bite. This one is my own favourite.
The one I sent yesterday was through Waves GTR sim.
