Your guitar and vocals are beautifull.

However if you wants drums some modifications in the rhythm/tempo may be required.

This song has more rhythm.

Mostly it is a kind of marching or polka rhythm.

Good Luck.

Thank you, I know:). I was doing a snippet in my own fashion, I?m not a great guitarist:). I also like the slow style as an intro....then could change over to the faster style with drums, flute, etc. Btw, I’m pretty old, live on the battlefield and was born in Texas, I’ve heard most versions over the years. That’s what I like about Kompoz... being able to be creative a little, nothing set in stone. Mostly work with new and original songs. I do think the drums and fifes would be cool as the tempo began to pick up and change:). After intro:):)

Great and talented musicians can adapt to all styles, variations, settings, etc. There are many ways to make great songs, improvise, etc. (see all variations on jazz standards). You make nice songs: great!

That was a very nice thing to say...thank You! I think the song would super cool if right after the first slow part the faster marching tempo kicked in. That's when you could add some cool drums for sure!!! I'd have to add some guitar or some type of instrument to the current track , starting with a drum march and fifes to kick it off, maybe some mandolin or banjo too:) Susan

Hi Susan, I love the reading that you have made of classic theme; It is very beautiful and it marks a personal style. I follow a group called Tok Tok Tok that are basically a wonderful voice and a saxophone making acoustic versions. I link one of my favorites in case you do not know them https://youtu.be/jy6xJgP9b5E (I'm not sure if this is appropriate here, sorry ir not, but I think you'd like it). Cheers :)

Here we say "de tal palo, tal astilla" (from that stick, that sliver -literally-; like father, like son - translated by Google -) Sure your son has a lot of talent!
