I did warn ya'll...lol
Nice one, Anton! Can hear your inner-Zappa at work there! :D
heard that before. lol...can't help it tbh.
Bit of a Zappa fan here too. :)
Also, I think your profile pic gives it away a little bit too. Haha!! :D
only for insiders ;)
Btw, I am glad you posted this, as it will help me out with guitar parts!!! :)
I changed some bass phrases to fit yer guitar...really cool btw.
Ignore my lead parts for the moment. I'm going to try and fit with you. I'll have to work out what you are playing and perhaps follow you on some parts. I love how you ended the main song and can hear some nice chords going over your bass chords and fills etc. I like the bluesy thing you put in at the end too, which will be fun to mess around with. :)
I assume that's you funking out on the Strat-ish guitar. yes?
Altogether now it reminds me of Spirogyra or something...I'm gonna have to think about it. Very cool tho, lol.
"Shoobee do whop whop" - oh man - you are killing me. :D
I like the harmony vox run after that, lol. And you tossed in a little stunt bass as well. Excellent.
You'll never guess what? It's a fake strat: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5uSRGo01dn4&t=22s
Bloody hell - Spirogyra - that's a band I have heard about for a very long time.
Anton's shooby-dooby is on fire! :)
Cheers Billy! :)
lol - cool. I didn't see the rhythm upload and thought it may have been an add by Anton. :D
This is turning out to be quite a fun tune!
I phase-flip extracted it :)
I'm really enjoying this one. Going to have to get my chops in order. :D
Btw, you got me searching Spirogyra now! :)
it may not be Spyrogyra I'm hearing...but something like that. Been a long time since I was into that style of fusion - I tend more towards the Holdsworth, Bruford, Brand X sort of thing.
Bill Bruford was with King Crimson wasn't he?
Of course, I can google that! Haha!! :D
lol - he started in Yes, then did his solo thing while still in Yes, then did Crimson.
I just Googled him after the last comment and saw he was in Yes. Didn't know that. I do like Yes. :)
He also had a solo group with Holdsworth (later replaced by Dave Clarke), Jeff Berlin and Dave Stewart (not the Eurythmics guy).
Some of the very best music I've ever heard, even now 30 years removed...fuck that makes me old.
Somebody I haven't listened to enough of is Allan Holdsworth. I know he is revered by pretty much every guitarist. :)
Well, I think you can tell I'm getting old and I am still stuck in the 70s, 80s and 90s! Hahaha!! :D
You're welcome. :D
My dad had a U.K. album back in the day. That's where I got to listen to a load of stuff, prog-rock, etc. He was/is a drummer and of course, his favourite band is Rush. :D
Spent most of my High School years learning and playing every Rush tune I could get my hands on...on acoustic. Didn't have money for a decent electric. I got into Bruford / Holdsworth, etc when I went to college at 17.
Alex Lifeson is a gem! :)
I had a Squier Strat for my first guitar and the action was about a mile high! Haha!! :D Didn't know how to lower the action back then. :D
Can you two get a room? the nostalgia is getting to me.
ultrawidescreen is too small...
That's something i would not have expected. sounds good to me so far. skitilly doop dop do wop.
Nice work, Anton!!
Things you didn't expect are usually the most fun.
Credit for the idea goes to midipunk ;)
I am now hearing a vocalist scat with this. thanks Pete.
