Hi Jay, thanks for the invite. As I mentioned via PM, I caught a flu and even thought the worst is gone, now my ears are half clogged, especially the left one which seems to work as a low pass filter in these days :-) Anyway, I just wanted to let you hear the direction I've taken. The ending part is still incomplete - I've used in it Gabro's chord, I hope I used them correctly.

Hey Enrico, I love the direction you've taken it. It sounds "amazing" to me, and I'm sure those involved will love it as well. I'm still in the process of seeking a choir and believe that I am one step closer. When you are finished, if you could upload the stereo WAV of what you've done minus the cymbal swells (I'd like to add them on my end). Keep the timpani in there, as well as the triangle and everything else. You've done a fantastic job! I hope that your flu is past and this comment finds you feeling much, much better. Again, thank you very much for all your time in this project. It is greatly appreciated and I can't thank you enough. I'm glad that I found you here on Kompoz and were able to contribute the way that you did!

Thank you Jay. Could you please explain what you'd like me to upload when the track is completed? Do you mean the full mix without cymbals? And what about the singer and piano? Oh, and there is also a female choir in the loudest section, should I leave it there since you mention a choir? Besides a final demo mix (for which I need my ears to get back to full functionality, though), I can upload my separate stems (without reverb): strings, brass, percussion (no cymbals), and choir. Then you'll decide what to keep. Last but not least: are you cool with the chords in the ending part? Just checking because I had no piano-only track to play along in that part - because of that and of my clogged ears I could have misunderstood Gabro's ones in that part.

Yes, a full stereo track with no cymbals, no piano, no vocals. Just a stereo track of everything that you've done. Balanced and EQ'd however you feel is best. I'm not concerned with any SEP's as I believe you have a much better ear than I do for balancing an orchestral mix. If I were to mix it, you might cringe. Therefore, I'll leave that in your hands. I want you to be proud when it's finished. Leave everything in there as you have it now (including choir) as I believe it's perfect as is. As far as the chords for the the ending, I'll upload a quick mix of what you've done along with Gabro's piano in the end and let you decide. Check back for the latest upload. You're doing a fantastic job!

As I listen back, the only thing I can think of is holding out that very last note longer so it fades out with Gabro's piano.

Quick clarification request: is Gabro's ending piano going to be included? In such a case, would it be possible to have the full solo-piano track? If not, hmmm I don't understand why the orchestral instruments should fade out with the same length of something that is not going to be included.

After listening to the tracks combined, I think your orchestral along with gabro's piano fit very well together. Therefore, I am thinking about leaving his piano in the mix for the ending. Yes, I can upload a SEP of gabros solo piano in its entirety however I am presently at work and will not be able to do that until later on this evening ( and it's going to be a long day ) so you should have it first thing in the morning.
