Hi Raymond VM,
As briefly discussed - here are my Guitar Adds to your aligned Mix.
Nicola's Guitar work is awesome and sets the whole feel of the track. I hope this is seen as some additions to colour the overall sound. To build on an already excellent track.
RayK suggested a solo and made a landing strip for it . . I spliced it into your track
Love the song, vocals, melody etc . . . etc . . and the Sax is nothing short of fantastic . .
I like the idea of a solo, so I'll edit the landingspace for that before I put all the stems up. The additional guitar nicely adds variation. I'll put up a bedtrack with click for you to align your guitar to,
Waouh, I love the guitar solo idea! Well done!
I can also provide you with a new drum sep file to take into account the extra mesure for the solo.
Yes, please, that would be very nice!
I think the drums could be totally redone, to match the mood and feel of this... Too much clicks and pops. More subtle tambourines, kick, claps, and cymbals to accent the vocals... Yes? The intro should have natural harmonics on the guitar playing instead of keys... Panning becomes much more important, too... Please, the vocals and lyrics are what will make this. If this is to be a redo, then would you like a take or two?
Sorry but I don't totally catch your point. Even if I agree that we could always improve things, I built the drum part with the attention and feeling of respecting the atmosphere of this song. To me, all is done to bring the song up in "crescendo" until the guitar solo and it seems to work quite well.
Thanks for your comment. It is not my intention to do a completely different version. My only goal is to get the timing right and incorporate an additional guitar and solo. If anyone that originally played the tracks that I used wants to redo it to compensate for the different timing they are free to do this, but I'm not going to switch musicians on this one. You can, of course, contribute a percussion track idea or spin off if your intentions differ.
