Creative Brief

Open Invite for mega Blues Jam!

Don't worry if there already are accepted seps for your instrument - we need more (not copies), please!

Note - Stems only please - but feel free to add any effects you want on it - we will only adjust the volume to match the other tracks.

Fellow Kompozer’s -  my new found soul mates DocDaFunk and TSTstudios inspired me to invite everyone who reads this to join in.

I hope I’m not over-complicating it - but please read this first…

The track is as simple as it gets - it’s a 12 bar funk blues in Cm. The backing track is a guide - hopefully none of the original recording will make the final mix but will be replaced by your contributions.

Drums - Solos - Keyboards/piano / acoustic/electric guitars, Bass lines - Vocals - Lyrics - funny noises - and all other instruments and contributions are very welcome.

I have provided a number of options to play to - full mix, no bass, no guitar, no drums, no organ.

Drummers and Bass Players and rhythm parts (piano—keys-or guitars or other rhythm parts) you have up to 4 rounds (48 bars) - so you have time to establish a proper groove.

Vocals can submit 4 rounds as well for the same reasons and to give you time to tell your story but shorter contributions are fine as well.

Soloists - you get only ONE round (about 24 seconds, 12 bars)

Listen to the first 3 round to get yourself in the mood and start your contribution/jam on the 4th - (loop the last cycle in your daw for warmups) and submit the one cycle you are happy with.

Feel free to create a Spinoff if you have to have more time or want to take it elsewhere.

All contributions will be accepted (except illegal or offensive stuff).

The final mix will be done by Tom at TSTstudios and myself.

There are so many brilliant musicians here - please don’t be shy or too busy  - it’s easy to contribute and I only need 24 seconds, but most of all - have fun!

Please include the 4 clicks at the start in your Seps - otherwise they might not be synched as you intended.

Please upload seps only - no mixes, please as this would get messy.

The first chord is Cm - you know the others.

So get your hats and sun glasses, think Blues Brothers and join in!
