Thanks, I'm pretty new at this so feedback is important! I think this was only the second tune I have mixed other than my own music.

Feedback is really tough to give because im not a mixing engineer. If your using addative EQ (Which im guessing you are especially in the high end) maybe you could go through a find the specific frequencies you like and boost them and make the Q a little smaller. OR use subtractive EQ to take out some of the high end on the guitars and then you may find the cymbals dont need boosting at all. If thats a load of shit then im very sorry!

I only discovered this after I did my mix, but it's now a staple on my 2bus : Airwindows Monitoring. It's a free vst designed to help highlight any imbalances in your mix. It should help you hear for yourself where highs are popping out and lows are overpowering and making things feel like they are dragging. https://www.airwindows.com/monitoring/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L9F5dYO4qmw

Wow this looks cool. Is it a plug-in for logic? How do you go about installing it?

I'm on Linux and use it in Mixbus32C. Not sure what the install procedure is for other platforms, but probably just a case of copying it to a VST folder that your DAW can see.
