Hi Frédéric. It was me but I didn't think it'll post it as you. Pasting here my message in the version1: "Hi Frédéric, thank so much and sorry for leaving the drums in the mix I'think I Your drums sound fantastic. I love love their explosive feel I did not expect that but it certainly works well. I, remixed your track without the leftover drum solos just so we have a record of a clean recording if you want to listen to it is version 2 above. I'll also a a true drumless track for you shortly"

I added a new drum-less track without the drum fillings here https://www.kompoz.com/music/collaboration/982651/file/985588/1 Like I mentioned before your drums really gave the song some much needed acustic power. Love it. Did you use your tama for this? Anyway, here are my comments: I love the explosive feel of the fat kick and the cymbals. Great sounding kit. Love the intro and the rapid hihat. Also right after 0:30 for some reason the hihat play in that part caught my attention I really like it. The kick is one of my favorite parts specially at the begining it goes well with the bass line. I think this combination and how tight they are together gives the whole song the grove I'm looking for specially around 1:15 - 1:30 and 2:17 - 2:23. Also I'm really liking 2:17 2:23 maybe is the multiple snare combinations, that part stands out to me because after that the grove seems to cut a little. Not sure if that makes sense. One thing I noticed is that the song changes rapidly from one section to the other which seems kinda hard to predict where the drum filling will start which makes them perhaps a little "rushed" in some parts? since there is no time really. What are your thoughts on maybe building up to the change some how? I hope this is helpful if you have any questions please let me know and thank you again.

Thank you Leo. That s a great and useful feedback. I did indeed use the yellow Tama on my profile to record this . II got it tuned wide open , I barely EQ the kit and it sounds really fat. Records like a dream. I will do another take based on the new mix . I will tighten the kick on your bass and work on the transitions. I am thinking a 1 bar Fill while keeping the backbeat to make a smooth transition should do the trick and keep the groove going. I also noted your comment on the groove after 2m23s mark. The syncopated snare fits the Bass Line but perhaps leave a gap in the groove that i need to address. I also think for the mix that you could perhaps have the bass a bit higher in the mix. I am sure it will give a nice foundation for the groove. I also think it sounds great so i would showcase it :-)

Yes the bass needs more volume totally agree. Actually I'm recording it again as that was my first pass. Would it be too much to ask for you to send samples of your drums really just the kick and the snare? I have a couple of songs I'm working on and I want to add just some initial midi drums to get a feel for the grove and if you are interested it would be amazing to continue to collaborate. Cheers.

Sure.I will record tomorrow the sound of the isolated snare and kick .
