Seeing as we are mostly locked up and looking for something extra to do I thought I might open up this previously unreleased movie. This was the first video I made, back in 2009, and is about my home and life up until then. What a lot of people don't know is that my 'user name' here came from my time as a mural painter (painting on walls). Some of the work I did, as well as our passion for antiques of various periods, is featured although the film quality is pretty rubbish. Anyway. Have fun. :))

Thanks for sharing James. Some really cool visual illusions. Tell me ... are the stained glass windows real or an illusion? Very cool. - Red

Thanks Red. Stained glass is real. Since I made that video there have been all sorts of changes including much more of the glass. Getting harder to come by. Did a song about it a few years back: https://www.kompoz.com/music/collaboration/415756

Very creative! You are obviously more tromp l'oeil dimensional than previously imagined. You might enjoy playing with Blender, a free 3D program that allows putting any image on any surface and creating Pixar-like movies.

Yes Paul, trompe l'oeil was always my favoured style. Art needs humour a lot of the time.

Tried to watch this last night but the line was too busy. A cornucopia of art, a national treasure! This should be a grade 1 listed building. Truly an "Englishman's home is his castle".

It has, in fact, been featured on two TV programmes and won me some cash in decorating competitions back around 2000-2001.

For anyone who might be interested I've found an old link to part of my now defunct website. http://offthewalldesigns.fraserology.com/page3.html This will show a number of mural and painting projects by clicking on the thumbnail images. Please ignore any nav links on the left as they are now all dead.

The recessed trompe l?oeil window is an amazing illusion
