Just having a bit of lockdown fun today and thought I would do a walk-through video of my little studio in the hope of encouraging others to show us where and how they make their music.
Have fun and keep safe.

What a beautiful space. I love colors and the different place to sit and enjoy, and as you say "her away from the rat race". That's an impressive collection of instruments as well. Did I miss a mention of the sitar and tabla? Thanks for sharing.
Great tour James! I loved seeing your setup, love the atmosphere! Very cool/nice instrument collection. thanks for sharing
Why Aye Man! For some reason I didn't expect such a strong Geordie accent James. Great video and you're blessed in having such a lovely "vibe-y" place for your musical creations.
Very interesting and entertaining video. Also very soothing...I fell asleep watching it last night :)
Oh ...... didn't think I was THAT boring! :)) We going to see your place of work?
You're missing a trick there. That voice - like a Geordie John Arlott - could be used to make relaxing videos that the nation if not the world badly needs at the moment :)
Really super video, Dear!! Gobbled up every moment and definitely echo everything everyone else said. In this time of lockdown, our attentions are often re-routed to what really matters most in this world!! This vid reminds me of the meme running around that we really don't need celebrities and the like, to touch our hearts... these beautiful quiet and simple insights are really what can make the most difference, so thank you!! hahaha, also, your definition of "on a budget" and my definition are quite different.... :)
Really .... you would not believe the restricted budget I have always had! Almost everything I have has been picked up in bargain sales needing repair or renovation. Anything with even slight monetary value has been acquired by first getting cheap stuff and 'trading up'. Spent most of my life at junk sales for bargains then moving them on for profit. I have a £2,000 value bouzouki that I bought for £100 from a 'deceased estate' sale. My main guitar (in my profile pic) is valued at £700 but I got it for £200 as a manufacturer reject due to a small fault in the finish. I picked up the sitar, in a case, for £40 as it needed repair. Didn't need the case so I sold that by itself for .... £40. Free sitar! The list goes on, sweetie. :))
Thank you so much for the tour, sir. What a lovely treat of a retreat!
Thanks for watching, Theresa. I'm hoping others might take up the idea and show us where they work.
Update: I've posted this up in the Studio Life group which was specifically set up for this sort of thing. https://www.kompoz.com/music/group/679504 I would suggest that anyone interested in 'show us yours' should join this group and follow suit. Thanks all for kind comments.
