Harsh! Sounds pretty good to me
well i just like some more natural players much better in the Djent zone
Dude is a chameleon! I agree that djent isn't his most natural setting... first time I've heard this style actually. I'd say he hits it pretty damn well
one more... mindblowing:
Sound more than OK, technique excellent, but what is he expressing? Sound/technique are mere 'instruments' to bring a message across. Like he does successfully in https://youtu.be/OLpSZmDiE1Y .
(Or Joey does at 2:18 in https://www.kompoz.com/music/collaboration/1028602/file/1028605 ).
Joey, You are always playing good stuff. I'm not so interested in the need to compare everything. Good is good.
Exactly, It's not how many notes you play it's what you do with the notes you can play, johnny 5
is a superior technical guitar player love him, but he has nothing on Glenn/KK of JP
Kind of interesting to me that you guys make these comments about this particular guitarist. I think he embodies musical "feel" better than almost anyone. To me, it's projected in everything he plays.
Those classic guitarists, like KK/Tipton, and so many other guys that are special to me too... It's not fair to compare. Guitar ability has morphed and evolved. I bet either one of those guys would be extremely impressed and musically moved by this guitarist, and probably visa-versa.
And John5 I do find a great technical guitarist, and he has some unique style fusion that is really cool. I do not find his music has a lot of feeling though
No doubt hes crazy good, super technical
same with john 5 but to me they sound over practiced
ergo the emotion is not pure..rather formula like.
Its reflected in note choices compared to the notes someone like
jeff beck would choose or my current fav Jakub Zytecki
he also does most of the background music
including the bass work.. he is my god! lolol
u r a riot brotha JL!
Jakub Zytecki is my current fav... has band dispatch as well. Yes, that guy harnesses his insane amount of skill to make emotive music. Jeff Beck is a master of emotive playing, and Blow by Blow is one of my favorite albums ever. This guy does too. I don't understand sometimes. I bet fellow artists used to dislike Dali or Escher... I'm a little more into mutual admiration
and yea blow by blow.. sooo goood
because we've ended as lovers...best ever for emotive feel... (:
As for players
its kind of like 5 studied piano players
sitting down and playing the same piece
and one shines just by nature... due to feel..which is why i used the word natural..
And yea its amazing how many famous artist were
broke during their life times.. and the art sells at auction
hundreds of years later for 40million! HA!
I like this player in the Video too ! I remember some time ago you ( Mike ) have post another Video from him playing Acoustic Guitar ! I have then look on his Youtube Chanel and i have really like what he is doing so with the Guitar !
Thank you for posting Mike !
