Ha! There aren't really taxes up there. You should see the Texas taxes and we have an unbelievable crime rate And we can't drive through our own hood without getting pulled over and over and over. We pay the same as on a million dollar home in Nashville. Edit: One year here is about the same as the difference in cost for upgrading to a half-mil home in Nashville. Nashville real estate is $$$ but I could actually upgrade in market value. If only I could pull my stick out of the mud. I must add though that we retained heat and electricity and the pipes did not break (fingers crossed), this time. We've had our share of builder regrets but in the coldest of winters, so far so good and for that, we are blessed. Unbelievably blessed.

Texas, case study in letting the ungodly rich skip their civic duty to pay a fair share of tax.. Which is why businesses and the ultra rich moved in.. the cost however is drained from the non rich people who save $200 on their taxes and could'nt fly out of State when the sht storm of deregulation and no money to invest in infrastructure crushed them. (I know just blame it on the Green New Deal which has new been made law) And you watch, the poor GOP destroyed by the above, will vote again for those fake Jesus swill merchants! ((:

Amen Rag! I tried to tell the idol worshipers the swamp was not drained under his reign it was converted into an out right greed cesspool now its back to just the normal swamp.. which sadly, is preferable (:
