Happy Wednesday Kompoz friends :))!! 11 years ago I could hardly walk due to chronic pain ... I went everywhere seeking help .. Most just wanted to give me a quick fix.. Surgery .. To cut out what might be causing my pain Medicine.. To help numb it ... Thru a physical therapist .. She pointed to Pilates (CONTROLOGY) as an excercise method to get my body back in proper alignment ... Which it helped to do .. 8 years ago .. When I turned 4O.. I got certified to teach the method .. Opened a little studio in my walkout basement .. Opened my back door to other woman who were desperate for pain relief .. The keys to the method are .. ( thru a series of exercises.. Like a dance) BREATHE .. Focus on the moment .. In the moment you are fine .. CONNECT.. To the movement pattern .. That carried you when you moved pain free.. GROW. Thru feeling proper alignment .. The working of all the parts of your body as a team .. Your subconscious begins to .. Remember .. What freedom felt like Pilates breathe connect grow .. Is my business name .. I have an OLD blog that hasn't been updated in years ... But .. This was kinda the beginning of my journey back to appreciate the body God gave me .. Taking time to nourish myself - which nourished my mind an soul.. So was it the method .. Or that I stopped judging my pain and started taking time to care about my body.???? Anyway .. I have been wanting to do a series of videos encouraging women .. And men.. to appreciate their beauty .. Not to doubt it ... I'd like to do videos.. Film outside .. Add some filters that make it look like moving power .. Add music .. Maybe some excercise cues on releasing the doubt .. Anyway let me know if you have any interest in creating music for this project.. Or helping with the video design .. I am just an idea person :)) not very technical Just in the concept stage ... Releasing your pain .. Thru love... To find the beauty you lost .. Just an example of what pilates is .. I want the videos to look like a moving painting .. Abstract .. This is one of the BEST ways to get original music heard. Through exercise videos. Then, what happens is the Victorias Secret Phenomena. When they finally got so many comments on the music they played in store, they boxed the set. I have myself, that set. I hope this flies.

Thank you!! Yes .. The funny thing is I was taught to use my voice as the music ... "Classical method" frowned on playing music .. But truth is .. There is always background sounds so why not choose something that reflects the mood .. Part of the healing

Sounds like a good idea! I do not know anything about Pilates, but the people I know are delighted with that. I think you should use a rhythm similar to breathing (13 breaths per minute) and another percussion faster heart (91? Bpm) with some music and voice .....

:).. Thanks Pedro .. I thought people could follow my pace in the workout .. It is a certain rhthmn .. Hard to explain .. I not sure how to get its "bpm"

It would seem to me that any average day in the life of a Stone Age person would provide most if not all of the exercises that Pilates includes. So it is a way of replacing them in our relatively soft modern lives. It may also be hard to answer the phone in some of the positions :)
