If you're not familiar with the series of Pavarotti & Friends CD's you should give a listen. Each year he would go to his home town in Italy and give a benefit preformance for different causes with guest artist - each year would be different working with a wide variety of artists, bands etc - like Sting, Dixie Chicks, Eric Clapton, Jon Bon Jovi, Celine Dion, etc. This particular song is with U2 from the CD Pavarotti & Friends for the children of Bosnia. It's called "Miss Sarajevo" - the back story - - In the early days of the war in Bosnia the world was taking no note of what was happening. So they decided to have a Miss Sarajevo beauty contest and invite the world press. At the end of the pageant all the contestants lined up across the stage and un rolled a banner that said "DON'T LET THEM KILL US"

Sarajevo siege's was horrible , (ex)yougoslavian are very special peoples , very raw with a fabulous sense of humour and huge creativity I used to have a gorgeous bosnian gf (man the good ol' days) her mother always used to say wen we were in shitty restaurant per example: ''We came to this place 3 times : first time , last time and never ever'' There's a french movie that just been released on the Sarajevo's siege and it seems even in those inhumane times they never lost their sense of humour
