'Clean up nicely': a solid pop track with great contributions of Steph, Daniele and Andrea. Thank you all for bringing my initial idea to life. SomeSteph...
Hope everyone is having a great 2023..
This is my newest project with the assistance of Tony Powell....https://www.kompoz.com/music/artist/TonyPowell who did the main guitar solo and the mix.
I hope you listen, like, comment, subscribe, and share and of course I hope you send me your channel as well.
Enjoy the day.
Who knows it too? You get various vocal audio tracks from a client and you start working on them. After hours of tidying up and cutting the individual tracks, a whole working day has already passed. The next day you start to correct the pathetic howling to some extent tolerable. After another day all the vocals are ready for mixing. From here a new misery begins for the audio engineer.
In the end you have a nice sounding result and all the customer has to say is a pathetic: "well, sounds pretty good" and that's it. No enthusiasm, nothing.
Well, what the heck.
In this sense?.
Hi folkers. Does anyone fancy adding violin to this small, gentle, folky, pastoral number?
Hi singers... I think some female back up vocals would really help this. Anyone interested?
Just finished a new song with Francois Graiouf on lead guitar and Ted Duross on lap steel and backing vocals. This was originally to be a country song but it got really dreamlike. I hope you enjoy!
A great lyrics by Joel with a lot of humor and music that slightly "oppose" it: a low down, almost moaning type of blues.
Drums and bass help wanted (and anything other that goes).
Thanks.
Love how this little group of oft chords up the neck has progressed with the help of great musicians Phil(bassman78fr), Eric(letchadrums) and Francois(Graiouf). I will be looking for vocals and lyrics if it fancies you. Thx for listening, matt
This one is the second collab project that I created, an atmospheric idea, a "no-tempo" improvisation. Happily, there's been responsiveness to it, an effort for a kind of remix, with tempo, for which I shall make a spin-off soon.
Until then, be welcome to share your thoughts and/ or contribute whatever you want that fits in the atmosphere...
Sheeeww, .. this isn't for everybody. But, if you're a fan of 90's music, .. Butch Vig had something to do, .. with some of that.
He has helped produce records for Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, and others .. and then he went on to establish (and play drums for) the band Garbage, .. and what they've done, and are still doing.
He's easy to listen to, .. and am once again reminded how much I DON'T know about music.
Given the day, I'll share an interesting poem of mine...
"Each 'I' Enucleated Before the Red Sun"
Black lines fade into corners that burn
Where hollow grey once met bloodshot
White dotted lines rip from the pavement for miles
But, the road to this place could be no other way
Fuel running low and with each unnecessary blink
The screaming black lines rage down, like acid
Etching out the color from a face of excess
One million miles to reason, or maybe something else
A route, complete with seven hundred and fifty-four signs
All pointless in pointing the way
The fumes from the lows fed the drive for what ought to
Go down in history as the most asinine plan ever
Full of all that would fit, but filled with nothing at all
Just great expectations, a paper to prove
Crumpled in suspicion festered hands that refused
To be able to cling to anything except shortchange
From the back, a hitchhiker professed intentions
Initially malefic, the murderer, or so it was
But as whimpers turned tears, and fell from the holes
What began as a rainbow dripped from the chin
The fantastic display of primary colors,
At the core was nothing more than an ugly and muddy mess
And it was then that pity paid the stranger a visit
For the first time in his entire life
Just as abruptly as he learned heartbreak
An even more curious feeling invaded
The achievement of empathy warmed his cold hands
And nothing could take the Cheshire grin away
Jumping to a stance with each foot in a seat
He stretched his arms wide, as to embrace the night
And at eighty miles per hour with the wind on his face
He screamed of the miracle a tragedy brings
Disapproval and agitation ran through the veins
A furious fire raged fast to burn away
Any stray goodness left inside the faceless face
In the time it took to speed through one-tenth of a mile
Distortion spread from the skewed shadow
Of what may have once been a bright-eyed girl
And with a cigarette lit, it mumbled, "fuck this shit,"
And a lifelong habit cued a superfluous flutter of eyelids
Impetuous movement, a hard yank to the right
The killer and clown took flight for a moment
Then interrupted by gravity's killer sucker punch
A backward descend, puppeteered by science
The defeating force was enough to gain a better picture
And all that had become deformed became clear
A crash, a blast, and a blaze, then ash dancing in silence
The embers fell cool upon two skulls, revealing faces full of laughter
Hi all. I am looking for drums and lead guitar or keys on this upbeat, alt-rock track. Philippe Pansard (bassman78fr) laid down a groovin' bassline. There is a "drumless" track in the files. Thanks
Yet another of my recent songs for the #World_Poetry_Day !
The lyrics here is Poetry by my all time beloved Poet, K. G. Kariotakis. The specific Poem is of His translations; the original Poem is by Jean Moréas.
For today's celebration of #World_Poetry_Day, here's a recent song of mine with lyrics an outstanding Poem of The Almighty Greek Poet C. P. Cavafy!
Feel free to share your thoughts!
I am looking for lyrics and vocals for this song. The name of the song can can be discarded if you have a better subject in mind. The vocals can use the existing guitar melodies, or harmonize with them. Thoughts?
This song just crossed the finish line and features AusTxStef (Stefanie Kisamore) on lead and backing vocals, dsilver (Daniele Silvestri) on drums, RaymondVanMelzen (Raymond van Melzen) on keyboards, and myself on guitar and bass. Raymond also gets credit for the awesome mix. I love how this turned out, and I hope you enjoy it as well! It's such a pleasure and privilege to collaborate with these guys and gal! A HUGE Thank You to AusTxStef, dsilver, and RaymondVanMelzen!

You may have noticed quite some activity from SomeSteph lately. (We do our best;-). 'Don't wanna play, boy' is another one, nearly finished. We would love to hear the sound of some REAL BASS though. Would you like to give it a go?...
(Seps and beds are up.)
