Just finished a new song with Francois Graiouf on lead guitar and Ted Duross on lap steel and backing vocals. This was originally to be a country song but it got really dreamlike. I hope you enjoy!
A great lyrics by Joel with a lot of humor and music that slightly "oppose" it: a low down, almost moaning type of blues.
Drums and bass help wanted (and anything other that goes).
Thanks.
Love how this little group of oft chords up the neck has progressed with the help of great musicians Phil(bassman78fr), Eric(letchadrums) and Francois(Graiouf). I will be looking for vocals and lyrics if it fancies you. Thx for listening, matt
This one is the second collab project that I created, an atmospheric idea, a "no-tempo" improvisation. Happily, there's been responsiveness to it, an effort for a kind of remix, with tempo, for which I shall make a spin-off soon.
Until then, be welcome to share your thoughts and/ or contribute whatever you want that fits in the atmosphere...
Sheeeww, .. this isn't for everybody. But, if you're a fan of 90's music, .. Butch Vig had something to do, .. with some of that.
He has helped produce records for Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, Sonic Youth, and others .. and then he went on to establish (and play drums for) the band Garbage, .. and what they've done, and are still doing.
He's easy to listen to, .. and am once again reminded how much I DON'T know about music.
Given the day, I'll share an interesting poem of mine...
"Each 'I' Enucleated Before the Red Sun"
Black lines fade into corners that burn
Where hollow grey once met bloodshot
White dotted lines rip from the pavement for miles
But, the road to this place could be no other way
Fuel running low and with each unnecessary blink
The screaming black lines rage down, like acid
Etching out the color from a face of excess
One million miles to reason, or maybe something else
A route, complete with seven hundred and fifty-four signs
All pointless in pointing the way
The fumes from the lows fed the drive for what ought to
Go down in history as the most asinine plan ever
Full of all that would fit, but filled with nothing at all
Just great expectations, a paper to prove
Crumpled in suspicion festered hands that refused
To be able to cling to anything except shortchange
From the back, a hitchhiker professed intentions
Initially malefic, the murderer, or so it was
But as whimpers turned tears, and fell from the holes
What began as a rainbow dripped from the chin
The fantastic display of primary colors,
At the core was nothing more than an ugly and muddy mess
And it was then that pity paid the stranger a visit
For the first time in his entire life
Just as abruptly as he learned heartbreak
An even more curious feeling invaded
The achievement of empathy warmed his cold hands
And nothing could take the Cheshire grin away
Jumping to a stance with each foot in a seat
He stretched his arms wide, as to embrace the night
And at eighty miles per hour with the wind on his face
He screamed of the miracle a tragedy brings
Disapproval and agitation ran through the veins
A furious fire raged fast to burn away
Any stray goodness left inside the faceless face
In the time it took to speed through one-tenth of a mile
Distortion spread from the skewed shadow
Of what may have once been a bright-eyed girl
And with a cigarette lit, it mumbled, "fuck this shit,"
And a lifelong habit cued a superfluous flutter of eyelids
Impetuous movement, a hard yank to the right
The killer and clown took flight for a moment
Then interrupted by gravity's killer sucker punch
A backward descend, puppeteered by science
The defeating force was enough to gain a better picture
And all that had become deformed became clear
A crash, a blast, and a blaze, then ash dancing in silence
The embers fell cool upon two skulls, revealing faces full of laughter
Hi all. I am looking for drums and lead guitar or keys on this upbeat, alt-rock track. Philippe Pansard (bassman78fr) laid down a groovin' bassline. There is a "drumless" track in the files. Thanks
Yet another of my recent songs for the #World_Poetry_Day !
The lyrics here is Poetry by my all time beloved Poet, K. G. Kariotakis. The specific Poem is of His translations; the original Poem is by Jean Moréas.
For today's celebration of #World_Poetry_Day, here's a recent song of mine with lyrics an outstanding Poem of The Almighty Greek Poet C. P. Cavafy!
Feel free to share your thoughts!
I am looking for lyrics and vocals for this song. The name of the song can can be discarded if you have a better subject in mind. The vocals can use the existing guitar melodies, or harmonize with them. Thoughts?
This song just crossed the finish line and features AusTxStef (Stefanie Kisamore) on lead and backing vocals, dsilver (Daniele Silvestri) on drums, RaymondVanMelzen (Raymond van Melzen) on keyboards, and myself on guitar and bass. Raymond also gets credit for the awesome mix. I love how this turned out, and I hope you enjoy it as well! It's such a pleasure and privilege to collaborate with these guys and gal! A HUGE Thank You to AusTxStef, dsilver, and RaymondVanMelzen!

You may have noticed quite some activity from SomeSteph lately. (We do our best;-). 'Don't wanna play, boy' is another one, nearly finished. We would love to hear the sound of some REAL BASS though. Would you like to give it a go?...

I have a request> this goes out to all > does anyone have and use with proper
know how... any vox correction software.. Like Anteres, Melodyne, Nectar etc?
I have a 9yrold guitar student~im pushing to use his voice.
Think Dead Zone "the ice is gonna break"..
Ok dont get the reference, but can help? Please drop a line here, or PM me
if your a vox person wanting your tool kit kept private.
I would provide a vox track to clean, so i can drop it in some work from
some fantastic players here who have helped me with it. I have separate private project just for this task.
I would be willing ~in a give in take~ to provide 2 Solos on any two projects.
Can YOU help?
This is the original idea i had with my vocals, i?d like it if someone can sing it for me and redo it for the better. I have a separate track uploaded without vocals for you to try.
This is some kind of blues/jazz/ragtime tune and I really don't know
for what instruments to ask for help. Maybe drums (brushes)?
The guitar is tuned really low (DF#BEAD) to mimic baritone guitar, so I don't know if bass would fit in. If you can "hear" some instruments that would fit in, please suggest. Thanks.
Oh yes, this "A Capella" ending is just a joke, so you can neglect it (I just couldn't resist).
Who the hell is this. LOL.
Fun TECHNICAL feedback here. My Kompoz.com Username is Jett Black. You didn't get my username right. My Characters and musical contributions (every time I have been on "Kompoz.com"), have gotten me ZERO royalties, and I have earned ZERO money. Thats not your problem fritte01. I'm VERY talented and VERY American. I UNIVERSALLY stand/move LOYALLY playing my 1984 A.D. Gibson Flying "V" electric lead-guitar. Why even text Hello there? I didn't sign up to Kompoz.com to be diverted until "needed" Mr. "Fredrik Calonne". Maybe get a separate "human relations" A.I. tech PRIVATE off-grid studio workstation that actually applies my solos to another song off-grid, not "archived". THEN you could have texted me this: MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, SYNC TRACK AND TEMPO MAP COMPLETE, pending our ORIGINAL lyrics, song title and mastering in a Professional studio that gives us a REAL carbon-copy contract to sign in person that enables their living in studio musicians, to endorse/donate us studio time for our....LOYALTY. Congratulations Jett Black you got Zero-sum plus one gains, again in 36 years of musicianship in America and elsewhere in the Universe. Simply get a new character name, a new gmail.com account, and a new Kompoz.com collaboration project(s),( to see if your willing or ethically able to practice "damage control pertaining to being courteous when your texts more than likely will %#@&(Lame) a lead-guitarist) Text me Jett Black, where a REAL studio is to do exacting contractual business for instrumentals, then I may co-op with you to write and get/hire a loyal undistracted/professional single female to sing original lyrics on. Then maybe OUR two countries and hers will executively fund, our triarchy under binding contracts. Look up the meaning of: STALWART. You are a good artist so I'm naturally bettering your flowchart. Where exactly are you going to archive my tracks?? An external hardrive after you put the tracks on a flashdrive( without being on the internet) Then you upload the flashdrive to a hardlined unhackable external hardrive thats in an offgrid safe that you build in private. Then lock the copied flashdrives in a robotic bank 3000 feet underground using a seperate bank account. Yeah I know hehe we wish! If I had loyalty I would be the worlds fastest trillionaire, and already be saving my music inside the core of Mars, Earth, and the Vesta Moon. Then NASA STEM funding would own up to matching my "Dollar per Dollar and, there it legally is, 2 trillion Dollars, U.S. currency. Hello there= greeter with high probability of bad news where I am in The Bad Luck State of Ohio, me being from The State of Kansas, who lived Down The Street from the band Kansas. I wrote songs to carry-on the Kansas band name, no matter what. Of course, with A.I. tech, we "wizards", like my buddy Steve Jobs helped conceive many things to be built in Topeka Kansas (Salina) to protect American Musicians First. Zero sum gain fritte01. Topic change. Why would DJKHALID01 send a text to me in Kompoz.com? Fishy, eh? I'm a MONUMENTAL Nordic METALHEAD DIVERGENT.. I scientifically don't know if you're even the person in your Kompoz.com picture. None of my business. Adaptive loyalties, off-grid and co-operative lead-guitarists no matter what=futurism/optimism/great health and secured data and finances. Failure to find LOYAL undistracted/ constitutional/Divergent musicians in the Universe for plus one or more gains has been an ongoing fail so far. K0mp0z.com lacks A.I. tech ethics/obedience/and compensation songs generated so that, NO LEAD-GUITARISTS data is "archived" SOLUTION? Archive those lead-guitar solo's of mine as ring tones and sell them at bandcamp.org as donation based (they pay what they think their worth) music.>---> "stands for lead-guitars? That's a new one. My name isn't Black, so you didn't technically "Thx" me for my ideas. So, it's back to square one. Congrats Octorez. Congrats others. Keep on shredding! As for my dignity,,,,,,,,Zero Sum Gain is my new Band name. Epic F-N Shame is my new project song. I wonder what "Thx" means, I guess I will look it up in Wikipedia. Make a Header at Blandcamp.org too. Name it,,,, Jettison Blackmore. I just made that up. I do have two badass Black Sabbath Medley's that are top notch and impossible to not love, unless your not my stereotype. A dominant Aerospace/Musician/Absolutionist/Reformist/Teacher/Cartographer/pianist/Inventor/recycler/Number 1 activist chapter president in the United States Of America years 2012-2013 A.D., and..... a Male Human (Supernatural-Superman/other), Un-utilized for co-operative monetary gains. No problem fritte01. You probably don't play a Gibson guitar. I was gonna 3d print a custom designed....%#$@&*....for you "guys". Sigh. un-LEGO-riffic. Sorry Denmark, Swedish metalhead ladies, Norway, USA/Universe/ NASA. Back to writing original 4 chord electric/acoustic songs that won't get mastered or make USA money unless certain females sing on them being fresh astronauts/musicians, and 100% loyal. I wrote many songs for them too fritte01. Hey Mars? I wonder what happened? I just $&#$@#* wonder.
