Anyone interested to jump in with subtle drumming with brushes and/or percussion. Entry around 1:02 (gtr solo) or around 1:24 (after solo) and keeps on until the coda. Thanks.

Hey friends, hoping to finally finish up this song. What I really would like is a buildup of sonic emotion starting in the break at around 2:15 and continuing through the final vocal section. Piano and orchestral sounds (strings, maybe horns) come to my mind but if you have another idea give it a try. The trick is not to overwhelm the vocals or the emotion already present in the song and in the vocals, but to fill out and expand the space as the song builds. Thanks for your ideas!

TRY AGAIN Still needs good vocals (scratch vocal demo is provided, but PLEASE create your own melody, if you want to) and real drums. Lyrics: Mike Mantecon Bass: Jean Lui Toudou Guitars: Jim Lawler
Kompoz, This is difficult, but I feel we need to talk. I've walked out the door enough times now that I've lost count. Brannon used to say "They all come back." He is generally right on this point, but do you know why? Hope. Hope is a dangerous word filled with expectation and trust, yet easily broken or lost. It feels like a love/hate relationship being here sometimes. Why? On one hand, Kompoz has provided me with countless opportunities to create, share, collaborate, communicate, grow, learn, make friends, and express myself. For that I am thankful. I am not the only one, and that is to be commended. On the other hand, you have let the weeds grow in this garden to the point where people feel the place is abandoned. Many of the great features of the site are now gone. Tech support is bare bones, engagement is almost nil, and various concerns of long-time members have not been addressed. Rumor has it, it's a one-man-operation and has been so for quite some time. Why? Since 2011, I have used this website. In that time, various members have offered up constructive criticism, suggestions, tips, general help, mentoring, forum/group moderation, free artistic/technical services, money, consultancy, and more. Most of which was rejected, spare the urgent repairs needed to keep the lights on, and the handful of revisions you have taken on board when it suited your interest. This site would not exist without the hundreds of thousands of projects created by users. Users with hope that the site will provide them with a creative outlet, a way to share their skills, a place where they may get help to create songs, a place to learn and grow as an artist, a place to find a community of like-minded people, a place to make friends, contacts, find mentors, a place where boredom or creative frustration can be alleviated. To your credit, you have hosted contests, charts, podcasts, online store, and created a few major updates to the site since I have been here. Some good features have dried up, others hang on by a thread, and the latest revision of the site is an ongoing effort built by one man based on your priorities/schedule, not those of paying members. Some say you maintain a regular job and family, a cover band, and hobbies. That's to be respected and understood. One caveat though. Where does Kompoz fit in? Does it matter anymore? Is it a burden? A liability? Is it not financially feasible to hire staff? Is the site not worth investing in staff? Is Kompoz a hobby? An expression of vanity? An investment? How do you benefit? What kind of transparency can be expected here? None? It is no surprise I have been taken to task for my criticisms of your decisions and Kompoz. That I can own, but know it came from a good place and not just someone complaining. If my comments seem curt or lack diplomacy, that comes from the frustration of feeling no one is listening. Do our voices matter? I presume so, at least to some extent. Kompoz is the best online collaboration site currently available. Only best because it functions as a large, open, creative playground for songwriters/musicians and has a larger, active community than others. Now, in this new age of lockdowns where more artists are confined or limited with "outside" options, online collaboration is becoming a "norm" (read Two Minutes To Late Night). This could be a chance to really grow. Hope does not work for me here, but what can help is knowing that you care enough to consider the interests of the users that bring this site life. Rev. 3 is not looking good in that regard so far, but I will gladly stow my doubts if proven wrong. That would include renewing my paid account to put my money where my big mouth is. Will the search ever be fixed? Will there ever be dedicated staff to moderate or troubleshoot problems? Why essentially "kill off" all old projects? Will MikeJM ever get his account sorted out? Will the focus ever shift back to making music or lean further into a Facebook feed trend? Will Kompoz continue to coast along with the not a priority/just a hobby feel to it? That is the impression I get. Maybe I am wrong. That is a common occurrence. These words are not meant to be hurtful or incendiary. What I would like is to see is for this to open up a discussion on where Kompoz is heading so we will know if it is worth waiting for things to improve or to pack it in for good. Some might say "If you don't like it, you can leave!" I prefer to aim higher and work to make things better if I can be a part of that. Maybe that is just the "liberal" in me thinking out loud. I am more of a "protestor" than the angry guy that runs people over in a car because he doesn't think they should be protesting or simply disagrees so much he inflicts bodily harm. The same "do better, try harder" ethic has helped propel a lot of personal growth as a musician, teacher, and other ways in my life. Maybe that is why I keep coming back. I am not the complete cynic you may think I am. I want it to be better. I want to help. I love the great music and friendships made over the last ten plus years here. That is something to celebrate. I know I am sticking my neck out here, but I need to know. Where do we go from here?

hello, I don't know if someone can help me, I have a problem here in Kompoz, when I start a collaboration, I download the sep tracks and when I mount them in my DAW, Cubase 11 Pro, some adapt perfectly to the indicated BPM tempo, but others remain very delayed or slightly delayed, I work with a Windows 10, but with previous Windows it also happened to me and they are all wav files, does anyone have any suggestions on how I can fix this

This song was sooooo much fun to work on. So many talented people worked on this. The main idea is we would have three verses to be sung by a different singer. Each singer was to write lyrics to their verse. I jumped in to write the last verse and the chorus. Christine put this all together, a blast from the past.

So honestly it's a little frustrating now . . . I mentioned that I paid for my subscription on the 31st of December, and had it for a few days but since then I've been charged and had just the basic subscription instead of the PRO I've paid for. So it was suggested that I contact raf 9 days ago, and still nothing. This is not to bash on him, I know he's busy and that he has done a lot of great things for me with this site, but I was just really excited to start up some new projects now that my schedule is stable (for once) and it's a little disappointing that I'm still stuck on the beginning plan. Hopefully it gets resolved soon, and I can continue jamming with all of you amazing Kompozers! Any advice at this point???
