Hi All, After all your amazing efforts we are on track to have an EC4 reveal party at the weekend. I suggest that we do this on Sunday 24th Oct at 6pm UTC (*see below, if like me you have no idea what this means for you) I propose that we reveal the EC4 in the main community chat and enjoy it together first, and with others who might also enjoy the spectacle. And then, for those of you who wish to, we come here to our Exquisite Corpse group page to start the guessing of who did which fragment, who did that stupid wildcard instruction etc. Any comments, suggestions, modifications to this proposal are welcome Cheers - Red _______________________________________________________________ *This means the following times this Sunday, in various time zones: 8 pm Central European Time, CET 7 pm UK time 2 pm in Washington DC 1 pm in Chicago 11 am in California ( if you want to know what time UTC is right now follow this link: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/timezone/utc )

Ive just been listening to all the Exquisite corpse's ( there are several). It is actually quite relaxing to listen to as the moods, genres and textures change throughout. Well worth revising every now and then

Sign up for the Exquisite Corpse III - Kompoz Music Hackathon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx An exercise in stimulating creativity, collaborations, fun and 'working outside the box' The aim of this game is to collect together musical phrases or melodies where each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence by being allowed to hear only the end of what the previous person contributed. Part of the fun is trying to make a good transition between the previous persons contribution and yours. At the end there will be a 'reveal' of the finished work. Previous examples can be found here: https://www.kompoz.com/music/group/1006453 Interested in this? Like this post or sign up below to be included in updates!

The aim of this game is to collect together musical phrases or melodies where each collaborator adds to a composition in sequence by being allowed to see only the end of what the previous person contributed.

At the end there will be a 'reveal' of the finished work.

The 'Exquisite Corpse II' Musical Hackathon:

 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

a] Each person who wishes to contribute is chosen in a random order over a period of a few days.

b] When it is their turn, a participant is messaged with a simple instruction on CREATING A PIECE OF MUSIC THAT WILL JOIN ONTO THE LAST FEW NOTES [or bar] OF THE PREVIOUS PARTICIPANTS SUBMISSION [ The BPM of the last bar or two of the fragment will also be supplied].

c] Each collaborator secretly records their own music according to their whim but linking to the previous participants sound fragment. No chord progressions will be given. You can change BPM and meter as you wish during your musical fragment recording.

d] Wild card [random] additional instructions may be also secretly given to individuals when it is their turn.

e] You send your piece of music to Redfish as a wav file. [DO NOT share this with anyone .... strictly secret .... shhhhhhh] [This can be done by file transfer, private collabs etc etc ? many options to choose from]

f] Once all of the participants have contributed, the work will be assembled in a single wav file and posted here on Kompoz as the reveal for the 'Exquisite Corpse II? Musical Hackathon

All the best
