Always. The community is HUGE! By following people you like, you see what they are up to an when they upload tracks, etc. That comes in your notifications. Some people are busier than others. Welcome.

Heya Bill - welcome! There's a lot of activity on kompoz. The groups here aren't tied to projects, so metal projects don't show up here in the group, but rather under the "Collaborations" link above. The search facility is poor, to say the least but hopefully in the next version of the site will be improved.

Hey man, welcome. We are making lots of noise in our little corner over here. See what the other Bill said, and Tony as well.

Another Pro Tip is to find a song you like then investigate who the musicians are for that song. That leads you to their other collaborations they have worked on and also leads to other musicians with your same interests. You basically stalk people. It's fun. But remember to visit their personal page and click follow, then every time they make a move you will know.

Sweet! Thanks guys. I'm personally working on a cover of "Man Made God" by In Flames. I was thinking of looking on here to see if any drummers would be interested in helping out. I'm planning on doing some more covers as well as some originals. I'll check out the collab section.

one thing to note: cover's are precluded in the site TOS unless you either do them in private (which means they aren't supposed to be sharable in community posts) or you pony up the $15 for a mechanical license and post it in the proj desc - which means you're doing the right thing by the songwriters. :) It's not a big deal here - most all the projs here are original music, so it's one of those things you gotta dig around to find out about. Figured I'd save you some grief.
