Declining membership? ..................
One can only guess with the formation of this group and the offer from Raf to pay for How-To videos that site membership and participation is declining. I can see it with my own eyes, as have others.
I think the daily k-day posts are not helping. Hear me out:
I know there was a poll and a majority that voted did so in favor of keeping the daily k-day posts from AR1NDunne.
But way more than a majority of the profiles linked in those daily k-day posts from are abandoned (inactive) profiles. sure they are filtered to who actually did a collab, but if I were the site owner i might be wondering if those posts every day are a good advertisement for the site.
I think its bad for business and the future of the site. I mean someone is congratulating people that abandoned the site. Its basically saying "the best days of kompoz are behind us, and those people left" (but didn't close their account)
So as a new member, i would ask.... hmmm...why did they leave? Why do I want to join when I see links congratulating people that abandoned the site?
Personally I wouldn't want to advertise that most people lose interest in the site...daily, on the community page. but maybe thats just me...
Anyway, i wasted 5 minutes typing what i think is a constructive observation, that will fall on deaf ears.
what a fool am I...

Well whats say we rally together and think of some positive ways to draw new members and keep our existing ones? I'm not sure of everything that has been tried already, but surely there are some ideas that haven't been proposed.
I'm aware that several suggestions were made though the post you're referencing, but i'm not sure of how many of those suggestions will ever be implemented, I really enjoy the time I spend on this site and would like to see it flourish and I'm ready do my part to help it do so. What "my part" is not clear to me as of yet. I can see the potential here cleanly and it would be a shame to watch it fail.
fyi I also posted this same post in Community with only slight variations... https://www.kompoz.com/music/community/a/95592
What if users being tagged received notifications? I used to tag people assuming they'd see it. If half those inactive accounts get an email another half might come take another look. A 'not interested' button for stuff that has been recommended 2,345,678,789,907 times. A 'glass case' of some sort for known deceased members? I still get recommendations to jam with Emptyglass and Mykk. If somebody uploads fourteen seps and then all of them accepted, condense it into one notification.
I would love to hear if anyone came back after being tagged in that k-day post. And if ever, that needs to be weighed against being a downer for new members. If they aren't logging in they ain't reading notifications.... they wont read PM's. personally, my kompoz external e-mail goes to a catch-all i barely ever read. And that goes back to my suggestion to capture last kompoz login date for every member. It would help in deciding who and who is not active. but thats just a fantasy i guess....
