I just visited all of your listed links... looks (and sounds) like you have all the bass stuff covered, not sure what you're looking for?

I played demo tracks for all the songs on my 150$ Harley Benton Bass. I am primarily a drummer and would not consider myself a really good bass player. So I am looking for two things :-) 1) better sound 2) better playing

Nice! I would suggest you pick one song and we see if it works and take it from there?

First let me compliment you on the productions. Love the symphony and the drums. Killer. He slammed the vocals too. Your right, the bass is just there, doesn't cut and isn't that interesting. A lot of it is just finding a tone that fits. Great guitar work also. This is a solid coherent album. I'll do a song and see what you think. This is a really great opportunity. Is there a specific song you want people to pick to audition?

David, it is an awesome collection of songs you have put up for us to contribute to. I would like to try something in the style of Chris Squire for Odin. I warn you though, I am a drummer first and a guitarist second. Worse, I play a short-scale bass because I have short fingers! So prepare yourself for some wild effects and a 5th string.

Actually the short scale basses sound much better than you would expect. I have this one, https://www.thomann.de/intl/ibanez_gsrm20b_wnf.htm in both the 4- and 5-string versions.

Why is that considered a short scale bass? I have a couple SDGR basses that are shorter but look the same as that pic. They aren't the long Jazz Bass but they sound good. Action goes to shit tuned anything lower than D but that's ok. Little hands can get it done. I'm a midget. 5-4

Good question. I am not sure what the official definition is but I would consider a bass shorter than 30" to be short-scale. The Ibanez I have listed is approximately 28.6". It plays great and sounds great. I have seen people complaining about the low B string being too floppy on short-scale 5-string basses but I don't think it is a problem.

Hey, let's compare, ahem, size. My index and ring fingers are 7cm. My middle finger is around 7.8cm.

I would like to have a go with Tony :-) Nadir: You are both great, in the end it is a matter of personal preference / taste. I will definitely remember you for upcoming collaborations! Thanks for the upload!
