Hey guitar players... so I'm thinking about picking up some type of resonator guitar. Because I don't have enough guitars yet :)
I'm looking for something that's good quality but not crazy expensive. I don't know anything about brands, prices, what to look for, or anything else. What do you suggest?

I'm looking into setting up a portable rig. Something where I don't have to haul my amp around. I only want it for practice by myself so premium sound is not really the goal.
I have android tablets and phones. I've looked into IkMultimedia. Has anyone tried it with Android? Any other options you might know of?
Edit.
This is for situations like going on a family vacation, or sitting on my deck, or in the living room. Quick and portable is key. Not for gigs or serious recording.

I didn't buy my first "real" electric until I was around 30. Little did I know that the salesperson was Adam Levy, not well known at the time, at a music shop (Dr. Sound) in Soho NYC. Other little known fact: I was the top student in my high school guitar class.
These days I use guitars and basses for writing. Not really into practicing all that much.
So I am not "just a singer" .... in fact, you haven't heard the last of me yet. But I will go away now and prepare for the roasting. ...see you again whenever, I really ain't supposed to be here. :D

Just re-activated my account. I guess it has been 2 years and 3 months ago since I have dropped by. Wow, didn't realize it was that long!
Been through a lot of changes since then, some good, some not so good.
I just picked up my guitar for the first time last week. I took about a 7 month hiatus ...... No calluses....fun, fun!
So, what are you guys using to make guitar tracks with these days?
