Had a load of work waiting when I got back from holiday, so not had chance to work through the list of possible showdown projects Mike was so kind to send me.
I'm thinking of rewriting the rules to get away from the fixed dates and to drop the winner chooses next project prize. I think it's asking too much for people to submit projects that might not get a showdown and without a pool to choose from it's tough on the mixer who wins.
I know I find it hard not to just start mixing a project once I find one I'd consider for a showdown, I'm guessing Ricardo is finding it doubly so this month ;)
I'm considering whether restructuring the contest so project owners can start a showdown any time would work better. Rather than submissions needing two "ready to mix", they should have three "I'm entering a mix" comments to turn them into a live showdown. Existing mixes could count as entries if project owner wanted.
