Hey all,
I am new here.
I wrote these lyrics, but I don't know if they are good enough.
Please tell me what do you think and if they can become a real song.
(It was meant to be some sort of an Irish rock ballad, but it could also be something else).
Thank you so much and stay safe
JB

Beautiful by Jenny G. Berry
Verse
I am looking through my window
At the endless clover fields
I am tired of the struggles
And I'm just about to yield
Life's a show and I'm a puppet
Hanging, silly, by a thread
I am facing crowd of faces
But I can't see any friend
Chorus
I'm a wild mare in a bridle
I'm a lioness in chains
Though at night I sleep in satin
I'm all wrapped in endless pains
Beauty is a perfect liar
Beauty is my perfect storm
Like a phoenix I catch fire
And I'm burning to no form
Verse
I am looking through the window
And it's hurting me so bad
Life is passing right beside me
Like the strangers in my bed
We all search for someone special
To uplift us when we're down
To redeem us from our weakness
And to slay our inner hounds
Chorus
I'm a wild mare in a bridle
I'm a lioness in chains
Though at night I sleep in satin
I'm all wrapped in endless pains
Beauty is a perfect liar
Beauty is my perfect storm
Like a phoenix I catch fire
And I'm burning to no form
Bridge
Beauty is the greatest con man
And it's posing double threat
It will make you an eye pleaser
Then return to claim the debt
I'm the queen of loveless Kingdom
I'm a songbird without voice
In a world of endless choices
I'm a girl without a choice
Chorus
I'm a wild mare in a bridle
I'm a lioness in chains
Though at night I sleep in satin
I'm all wrapped in endless pains
Beauty is a perfect liar
Beauty is my perfect storm
Like a phoenix I catch fire
And I'm burning to no form
Outro
Beauty was my perfect liar
It created perfect storm
Like the phoenix I caught fire
And I burned out to no form

Jenny, First of all, Welcome to Kompoz! What you?ve written is fantastic. They are excellent lyrics- they could absolutely be turned into a song! You should either post those lyrics to a project with music that is looking for lyrics and vocals. Or you could post them as your own project and ask people to create a musical track for them.
Hi David, Thank you very much for your kind and helpful response. I'm glad that you liked the lyrics. I opened a new project. Here is the link. https://www.kompoz.com/music/collaboration/1183472 live strong, stay safe! JB
Welcome to Kompoz :) Fabulous lyrics ! You bring these regularly and you will be famous in no time :):) You also must understand that to bring these into an instrumental part may require some editing and/or cutting ... If you have no problem with that, either you doing it or the singer, you're good to go :) Also, I would suggest to find either a guitar or keyboard player and create the song from the lyrics themselves. All in all, you were made for Kompoz ;-) GoYeah
Thank you very much Mr. GoYeah. While many, me inclusive, will not object being a bit famous (especially when their second name is, literally, "Glory" - Ha, ha); If I'm to be totally honest, (and somewhat realistic), it's not the fame or glory I am looking for, it's a voice. It's not a trivial thing for me to share my deepest thoughts and feelings publicly, but receiving the many kind feedbacks from this community definitely makes it easier for me. So thank you sir, and thank you all dear people. live strong and stay safe, J(G)B
Hi Jenny - love these lyrics and I think there's real potential here. I'm new here as well so not quite sure how the whole thing works but I agree with you that a sort of Celtic rock vibe seems to fit here. I'll join your collaboration and see if I ca put something together that might help.
Once you get the hang of it, kompoz is an all-you-can-eat buffet for lyricists. post this as a project, and don't forget to include a picture from pixabay.
Better late than never, Joel... ;-) https://www.kompoz.com/music/collaboration/1183472
