Hi! Here a new version with some changes suggested by some members of kompoz. I've been creative with the reverbs in the voices but I know if I exceeded the automation and if I have achieved what was indicated by tbase2000. I have also tried to mix the voices better and correct the bass according to ecino. I've improved the mix or maybe I've worsened it? What do you think. Another thing, do you think that mastering it would improve? For now I have mastered the song but I've done it without much knowledge. Any comment will be welcome. Thanks!

Is anybody here this amazing at mixing and mastering songs? This is a suspenseful somewhat psychedelic song I wrote called "Know What You Desire" and had mixed and mastered by a very good producer, but he's busy right now so my other songs came to a halt. I have many more song, with other vibes I'd like to emit, I could share with any committed producer. Any music producer who can deliver this modern sound I will be very happy to work with and compensate through any means. I will be happy to discuss and work with any great music producer. You will also certainly be credited with sound recording as well! Thank you in advance. I look forward to working with you!

Here's one I'm curious what the audience thinks. I tried to mix/master as a combo package. Anything you hear that you don't like or I can improve on? The drums were live recorded and they had some boomy room issues but I tried to bring them back into a studio setting. Tear it up. Here is the Low Mastered Version. I went back and tried to correct some things based on your feedback. The more aggressive sound really comes from a harder master though which I will post as a medium master. To me this is a more traditional Metal Release Vibe but it doesn't fit any of the Streaming Standards.

This is a blind test. I will reveal the setup of each track after I've received some feedback. Try not to focus on the vocal performance. ;) Each track is a unique vocal performance. Some examples of things to listen for: Are reflections more audible in any of the tracks? Do any of the tracks sound muddier than the others? Do any of the tracks sound more sibilant? Do any of the tracks suffer more from proximity effect? Everyone is welcome to share any other observations and opinions. All of the tracks were recorded with a blanket hung behind me. One of the tracks was recorded with my new condenser mic and a reflection filter. One of the tracks was recorded with my old dynamic mic. One of the tracks was recorded with my new condenser mic but without the reflection filter. Don't feel obligated to share any feedback if this exercise does not interest you.

Needing a mix and Master for this Dance/Pop track I'm thinking an electro sexy feel for the fx (Example - Auto Tune, Vocoder etc) I want to make sure that the pitch is on point. Anyone interested?

Mastering JustVera... I've been reading a lot about the magic in mastering. And I just love magic. Just about all theory audio-engineers write makes sense to me. But somehow I haven't heard solid proof of additional magic on my tracks produced in this last phase. And being a passionate perfectionist composer/producer I'm wondering why. Being aware of my weaknesses/limits in the audio engineering area, I tried to master the final mixed versions of my tracks with the help of other Kompozers several times now. Muted all fx, exported all individual instruments as dry as a bone and kept my fingers crossed. But... I didn't meet the engineer yet who produced a clearer, brighter and/or more exciting version of my original. And yet I'm convinced it could be done. My usual workflow creating a track is that I start with the first (midi)instrument. (All done in Reason9.5). Four or eight bars. Looping for hours trying all different kinds of settings, notes, timings, velocities AND any kind of fx. I polish it until it sounds the way I like it best. Then I add a second instrument, following exactly the same procedure, but in conjunction with the first track. This flow goes on until the first bars are filled with all instruments. From there on the rest of the song develops. Once the last note has died out, I present my track to the Kompoz community for help to finish it. Sometimes to redo some of my instruments, but mostly to add solos, lyrics and vocals. If I get lucky I add the respective wavs, close the project and publish the final version on Over the years I produced two online albums: (2014) (2018). Currently I'm working on the 2020 album, which I really want to stand out from a mastering point of view as well. So... I'ld love to team up with an engineer to produce/master the next JustVera album. If you like JustVera and you feel challenged, please do send me a PM!

Hello engineers! I made a mix/master of a song of mine and would like to know if you care to give me some critique? I'm actually quite content with it as is, but usually when I post here I get some great remarks which help me improve the mix even further! :) Let me know what you think!
