Okay, so now we have a fairly firm layout of the land... The entrant responses so far: 9 for musician 1 for lyricist 1 for either role And two who have said they are not available for writing, but are ready for singing. When I first started doing these a long time ago on another site, no collaboration teams were created, and people could choose to make their own team or go solo. They could also choose to have lyrics, spoken word, just "oohs and aahs," or go instrumental. Eventually, when more lyricists came on board, we moved to pairing people into lyricist-musician teams. It may be best to do that here, as well, start with no teams preset. If we get more lyricists engaged in the future, we can add pairing artists up as a new angle to the challenge.
