Cherry Audio has done it again. This is a hybrid emulation of the classic Yamaha GX-1 from 1975 and the smaller Yamaha CS-80 released in 1977. These are two classic synths whose unique sounds you hear on many major records and films from the late 70's to mid-80's, including Vangelis, Stevie Wonder and many others.
It looks very similar to the Arturia CS-80.
Yeah, I have the V Collection 7 from Arturia. It is amazing. You can get the latest version, V Collection 9, right now for $100 which is outrageously cheap. Somebody please check whether there is a catch in this offer!
EDIT: I think the $100 dollars is the price for an update, and that the full version is $300.
It's $200 for me. I think it is because I already have the CS-80. I just bought it. Thanks for letting me know it was on sale.
You are welcome! 200$ is still a bloody good price.
Indeed. Using it already.
The difference is the Arturia CS-80 is, if I understand it correctly, an emulation of just the CS-80. The CA GX-80 is a hybrid that marries BOTH the GX-1 AND the CS-80 with a few extras. And it sounds fantastic!
I really want the U-He Diva. It is $179 at the moment,. I am waiting for a sale. Novaforce used it and it sounds awesome.
wow is there no black friday sales?
