Circus of Ghosts Contemporary Folk

The idea for this song is that someone finds an old circus tent lying in a shed. As she checks it out, she thinks she hears voices carried on the wind. And they tell her to rebuild the tent and restore the glory of the circus of ghosts

Trees were cut down for the sawdust

That got trampled in the tent

The canvas was a thousand square metres

Resplendent in white and red

It's folded and dusty, forgotten

Until I found it in this old shed

I thought I heard murmurs on the wind
