Artist's Notes

This is a traditional song dating back to the mid 1600?s both musically and lyrically.
We have taken the simple approach starting off with basic guitar and bouzouki embellishments from me with vocal from LadyD then added additional vocal part from Kevin.
My daughter, LIlah, recorded the whistle section on her I-phone.

Lyrics

Love Will Find Out The Way

Lyrics: (attributed to Quilter)

Over the mountains

And over the waves,

Under the fountains

And under the graves,

Under floods that are deepest,

Which Neptune obey

Over rocks that are the steepest,

Love will find out the way.

Some think to lose him

By having him confined

Some do suppose him,

Poor thing, to be blind;

But if ne'er so close ye wall him,

Do all that you may,

Blind Love, if so ye call him,

Will find out the way.

Train up the eagle

To stoop to your fist.

Or you may train inveigle

The Phoenix of the east.

The lioness, you may move her

To give o'er her prey;

But you'll ne'er stop a lover;

Love will find out the way.

(Instrumental Break)

Over the mountains

And over the waves,

Under the fountains

And under the graves,

Under floods that are deepest,

Which Neptune obey

Over rocks that are the steepest,

Love will find out the way.
